Haebaru (南風原)| Locomotive Restaurant | Nanporo

Nanporo , 30 minutes away from Sapporo, has a wonderful restaurant, which serves its local delicious vegetables and meat. And guess what? A locomotive brings the dishes to your table! How exciting it is!
I'll show you "Haebaru (南風原)" today↓

It is located on a riverside, and we can enjoy the countryside atmosphere from the restaurant window!

Let's enter it!

The flowers on the deck also provide a feeling of relaxation!

Voila!!!!
Look at the railroad across the restaurant! A locomotive brings the food to your table!!!!

We ordered this course meal and

this pasta lunch set↓

Here comes the locomotive!!!! Each table has its own station name. Ours is "Kuriyama"!

This is appetizer.
■gratin (chicken and potato)
The potato named Red Andes is produced in Nanporo and tastes really rich!!

Here comes salad!

Nanporo remains us of vegetables. The salad taste very different from ones bought at supermarkets in our city! Yummy x 2!!
Surprisingly, we can have FREE refills!!!! Is this restaurant the heaven????

■ Pumpkin soup
Again, this pumpkin is produced in Nanporo and very recommendable!

This bread is made of Hokkaido flour! We love the local ingredients!

Oops!
We ordered the refills twice so far! Hahaha!

■Crab pasta
The shell of swimming crab made us very happy! Of course it is very delicious! I love this tomato sauce with a lot of crab juice!

■Today's fish
This yellowtail wasn't fishy. The cook said, "The fish itself is very fresh of course, but in order to clean away the fishy smell, it is marinaded in milk for a while first."
That's why!!

■Today's meat
This Hokkaido pork is very tender! I mean this is the most tender pork in my life! Wow! Wow! Wow!

Here comes the last locomotive for us!

We enjoyed the cheese cake

with coffee!

I love this coffee cup! Very fashionable, isn't it?? We love this handmade pottery!

As I don't drink coffee, I enjoyed grape juice!

This restaurant is closed during the winter time, and will be resumed in April!
