Hokkai Hotel (北海ホテル)| Hot Spring Inn | Lake Toya

Lake Toya is part of the Shikotsu Toya National Park.

Beside Lake Toya, the region features hot spring and active volcanoes such as Mt. Usu and Mt. Showashinzan.

The area also offers many fishing, hiking, and camping opportunities.
The picturesque lake was chosen as the location of the G8 summit in 2008.

Today I'll show you "Hokkai Hotel", a hot spring inn on the lake shore.

The hotel has typical traditional Japanese rooms↓and western-type rooms. You can enjoy Lake Toya from your room! Perfect Location, isn't it?

I got up at 5:30AM and jogged along the lake. This pic↓was taken from our room. So romantic♪

When I returned to the hotel, the sun was already above the lake↓

I love to take hot spring after exercising!!!

The water here is Gensen Kakenagashi; water comes directly from the hot spring source. Sounds wonderful, doesn't it??
The water contains minerals such as calcium carbonate, iron, and manganese oxide. As this hot spring is very therapeutic, don't rise your body with tap water, after taking natural hot spring.

This is an indoor bath. They say this is a grand bath, but actually a medium bath. Hahaha! There is a small sauna here, too.

This is an outdoor bath! You can feel this is very natural water because the hot-spring mineral deposits floating in and on the water!

The water is coming up from the 60-150m-deep ground! The temperature of the water is around 40 C, really relaxing, good for your skin and providing health-giving benefits!

But the problem is......................
Can you guess what the problem is?
The answer is the wall around the outdoor bath is very LOW!!!

You can see the walking path from the bath area!!!! When you come stay here, please take hot spring late at night or early in the morning! Hahaha!!

But because of the location, you can enjoy fireworks displays from the bath area very clearly! This hot spring area has long-run fireworks displays every day from April to October every year!!

Anyway, when you come stay at this inn, be careful about the low wall! Hahaha!
